I bought a cake, but a few orphans I saw on the way home convinced me that I should give it to them. I still don't understand why they were laughing and calling me an idiot as they ran off with it.
As for the gifts, I did have cash:

Unfortunately, "some" turned into "all" and then... well... I can't not eat Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Who am I, someone with will power?
And the Connor/Salome smut? Well, I... uh... I tried, but... oh, what the hell...
