Connor discovers not all of Jasmine's followers abandoned her when the spell was broken. He must deal with the guilt over their devotion and discover their plans to resurrected their goddess.
... I am SO SORRY about how long the episode took to air! Hopefully, the audio commentary I included with this ep will help make up for it.

Good episode and great commentary. It is nice to put a voice with a name. And interesting to learn I have been pronouncing Salome's name wrong for years.
I curious as to whether Connor will punish himself hor helping the bad guy with his blood like with the hellmouth and Vail.

I'm glad you liked it. I was a bit nervous about doing the commentary. I wasn't exactly sure how I would come off. But I had a lot of fun doing it. Just out of curiosity, how did you pronounce Salome's name?
Well... I think Connor's guilt will really depend on how Tempus Fugit goes.

I thought it was pronounced "saw_low-m" (_=diff syllable -=same syllable)
I loved the commentary (sound like a cross between jane and marty) voice cracked a bit lol (i get that all the time)

I was pronouncing it sa-law-m.
Also I went to listen to the commentary again and it quit at about 6:00. It was still running but your voice wasn't being heard.

Huh. That's odd. I dunno what might be going on with that. I've tried it on a couple of computers and it worked all right. I would check over what you're using to listen to it.
So, just out of curiosity... What did you guys think of the actual episode?

Great episode and commentary!  Connor's deep conversations with Jamie and Salome (I pronounce it "Sa-lome" if that helps any) were very moving and powerful, notably the real reason Connor killed Jasmine and that he never knew the real Cordelia. Intriguing plotline involving Faye, the Child of the Senior Partners, and Jasmine's special connection to Wolfram & Hart. The Matty and Andrew storyline should be really interesting.  Can't wait to see what happens next! By the way, Emcee, lovely voice! Very melodious! ;D |

I've always felt Connor reached the height of nihilism by the end of season four. He just believed in nothing and this was the real reason for the death of Jasmine. I don't think he really realized it at the time, but he's come to the realization since. He's had a lot of self-discovery since the end of "Origin" and the start of TNP. Really, this episode was a way for me to get those thoughts out.
As I said in the commentary, I really thought it was time for Andrew to really get out in the world and... Well, I'd personally get out in the world if a guy like Matty was after me. Rawr.
*blush* Thank you so much. I was worried about recording myself, but I decided to just man up and do it. I really enjoyed doing it. I'm actually working on some other ones.

I really loved this episode. Very exciting. I liked the Andrew/Matty parts too. Is Andrew finally coming"out"? I hope so. I'm very excited to read the next part. This was well worth the wait.

I'm glad you liked the Andrew and Matty stuff. That was a lot of fun to write. As I said in the commentary, i don't think it's so much an issue of Andrew coming out of the closet, but more an issue of Andrew being able to deal with the reality of being in a relationship with an actual person-- be it male or female.

I have this rediculous idea for a fanfic that I know would never happen in TNP. Andrew and Matty get together and are in the homeymoon phase 24/7 until the series finale. I think it is about time Andrew found someone and I hope there is an interesting storline planned for them.
Also, was anyone else curious as to what was up with Oni's boyfriend?
