My Theory on Mandy

This is all speculation on my part

Shes going to end up being a slayer who was given the name Mandy by our talented writer so when Conner and everyone got drunk at Lorne's bar they would sing Oh Mandy. I also have a feeling she is going to end up being Jamies girlfriend.

Connor and gang drunk and singing Oh Mandy, that would indeed be funny . That reminds me of Angel and Connor singing Oh Jamine!!! Funny as hell!

My wild guess is:
Mandy might be working in the new location in the comic shop of esp 1 (spoilers season 2). She probably knows a lott about comics and there heros and villains and this will be very 'interesting' to the guys. This maybe the reason for Salome to get jealuos on Mandy even tough she probably has nothing to worry about (girls wil be girls and I agree with you that she probably wil be a love interest for Jamie.

I wonder how much she knows about the summers family, you know scott and jean who have 2 kids (nate grey and rachel summers) from two alternate realitys

and scott and maddie (the clone of jean) have a kid (cable) who has a clone (stryfe) and was raised in a future that rachel was sent to, as well as cable and stryfe being older than their parents

plus nate is a test tube baby using the dna that sinister stole from scott and jean (he also made maddie)

plus scott has a brother alex, who in an alternate reality had a child with maddie and another brother who doesn't really exist because the writers dropped it but could have been either gambit, adam-x or apocolypse (who made a test tube baby with his dna and jeans in yet another alternate univers)...

so yeah, I wonder if she knows anything about that

Not that I don't appreciate X-Men talk... But what does that have to do with Mandy Boyd? If Xandrew is referring to posts made in my LJ about "Outlaw X", I know all about the convoluted Summers family (I even have a Summers family tree). Michael "Crimson" Summers and Nate "Trip" Summers are from yet another alternate future. But that's a discussion for another place (EDIT There is now a thread under "Anything Goes" for my X-Men fancomic. Talk about it should be done there)

Anyway... Back onto more on-topic things:

In responce to the theories.... I won't say much, other than these are some interesting theories. Mandy WAS named after the Mannilow song. I thought it would be funny. Her last name is also a song tribute-- She's named after Pattie Boyd, the ex-wife of both George Harrison and Eric Clapton. Pattie was the inspiration for many love songs including (Connor's favourite song, as revealed in "Still Life") "Layla".

Here are some other bits that may be of interest:

--Connor and Salome will be having some relationship problems.
--The comic shop (the name "Flying Demon Monkey" should give it away) will be a reoccurring local in S2, as it is owned by Andrew and Jamie.
--Mandy is a writer, which will be the cause of some problems in at least one episode.
