I was in the WB store in the mall a couple of years ago and bought a pack of Buffy comics. Random comics. In these comics, Buffy is still in love with Angel and her mom is still alive and Willow has a relationship with Oz. I think I bought them when Buffy was in season three. I found them while cleaning my room and have recently heard of a few other more famous Buffy comics. I would like to know the names of them if someone could tell me please. One of them is a Willow and Tara novel relationship comic in with the actresses helped write and the other one is a future of the slayer line comic written by Joss Whedon himself.

I'm pretty sure the comic about the future slayer is called "Fray."

I finally bought "Fray." Never got a chance to until now and it was awsome. I am not a huge fan of Graphic novels but this was wonderful.

Has anyone read the Buffy season eight Graphic Novels by the Buffy writers that Joss Whedon is continuing and if so are they worth it?

I haven't read the Buffy season eight Graphic novels yet, but I'd love to get my hands on one! Where are they sold?

I have trouble with the LiveJournal, so I am going to update here on Emcee's views on Buffy Season 8 comics. GET OVER IT! Just because it isn't Connor and just because it isn't NOT focused on The Watchers Council doesn't mean Joss doesn't have a bigger (and possibly) and better plan in mind than yours. I love TNP, but I have to say a couple of things: you take a while to update it and Joss has specific update times set, which you no longer do; I wish you did I am dying to see what is going to happen with Jasmine in the next episode and he has to work with more than two people so sometimes his vision isn't always what he wants and even when it is he doesn't think on a maybe I'll do this when I get to that episode, he knows the whole arc for about forty to fifty issues. And even if none of this did annoy me, which it actually doesn't, I just was hoping to get it explained, I can think of three things as cannon. They are TNP, Watchers and Buffy Season 8 comics.
If any or even all of this seemed mean it was not meant to be, but I felt the need to defend the only reason TNP (and even Connor) exists in the first place.

I didn't bitch about Buffy and Angel, the TV series, which ARE the reasons Connor exists in the first place. The Buffy comics aren't.
Just because Joss is a brilliant television writer doesn't mean he's a good comic writer. And honestly, I think Buffy's story was told. We had a conclusion. And I don't think he needed to continue on with her. The reason he stopped the show is because he felt he had gone full circle.
I just stated my opinion, I'm sorry if you didn't like it. And I had no problem with it NOT having Connor in it.

wasn't the reason he stopped buffy because he was doing firefly, and thus was mentally exhausted plus the fact the the "star" smg didn't want to do another season

I've been keeping up with what's been going on with Buffy Season Eight through wikipedia and I must say that while I was impressed with some of the storylines (e.g. Warren Meers's resurrection by--and current romantic involvement with--Amy), it's not exactly where I would have gone with the characters had I been the one writing it. Buffy would still be with The Immortal (still an unseen character); Xander and Dawn would have to stop Doc from unleashing Glory's compatriot hellgods onto Earth; Faith and Robin would face off against Drusilla and her new "family unit"; Giles would confront Ethan Rayne again; Willow, Kennedy and Oz would team up against Amy Madison and her new evil coven; and Andrew would run into his brother Tucker Wells. That said, based on what I've read so far on Angel: After the Fall, I love what I'm reading. The summary so far sounds very intriguing and I can't wait to see what happens next! I couldn't top what I've seen so far in Angel:ATF if I tried. Of course, considering I'm more analytical than intuitive, I probably wouldn't do the actual writing, just the idea submission.

Of course, it's possible that I was just obsessing over the Buffyverse when I made the last post.....Come to think of it, I was obsessing!
(As you've guessed, I probably won't be writing any stories anytime soon!)

I like the Buffy Season 8 Comics. I am not going to go off on a rant about things that will get other arguing with me because I did that already with Emcee. I would just like to keep reminding people that one individual comic isn't one full television episode (with the exeption of The Chain and the upcoming January and February issues). Four issues are one episode which means so far there has only been three television episodes. Twilight may be (possibly) the main bad guy but we still don't know what his ultimate goal is. In season five we didn't even see Glory until the fifth episode, same thing with the mayor. As for Angel: After the Fall, I have a question. Has Los Angeles been turned into a hell dimension or is it just in a Hell Dimension?

Don't know, Buffy Fan. I did check the recap for Buffy Season Eight Issue 9 (the Faith arc), though, and it was pretty interesting. If I said the comics weren't that great, I definitely take that back! They're really entertaining--as both series continuations and stand-alone series. Just like TNP.
