I agree on Lost. I was a big fan in the first season, but I dunno about where it's going....

24 was on again last night and in my opinion a great episode.
SPOILERS
First and foremost the entire episode was wonderful and wonderfully written. Mostly (in my opinion) because it was written by former Buffy and Angel writer David Fury, who is now a writer and a co-executive producer on the show.
Walt Cummings was outed as the mole to the president in a brilliantly written scene where Walt thought confessing to the president that he was a traitor, but doing it for the good of the country, was the way to keep him out of trouble. I have to admit, I preferred it that way as opposed to accusing Jack of something he didn't do.
As much as I have said I don't like the Martha Logan scenes, she was a little easier to handle in this episode even before people started believing her.
And Jack being torn between his two lives was genius. Although when the president told him to disappear when this was over I had a vision of Jack, Kim, Audry, Derrick and Diane all disappearing together. Which I know sounds crazy because Diane and Audry are awkward together and Kim has her own life with Jack's former partner, but I thought the idea amusing.
I also liked how Glenn MIGHT finally start doing things a little differently now that he's been told how people "with experience" act.
The only thing that really bothered me with this episode was how Jack calling the president's aide on a secure line and then it wasn't secure. It bothered me, but not much when I realized the rest of the episode wouldn't have happened if Jack wasn't arrested. He needed access into The White House without Secret Service interfering.

So I've heard that the plan is to do the 24 movie in between seasons 5 and 6. I'm interested in seeing how it'll work. Anyway, on to the recent episode:
Walt was pretty smart explaining things to the President the way he did. Just mention the word "legacy" and Logan will go along with anything you say. Oh, and now the President needs to step down for planning on giving him a pass. Even if he agreed with Walt's plan (which deep down he really didn't), Walt let an ex-President (and a bunch of other people) get murdered for crying out loud.
Yeah, Mrs. Logan was better this episode, but I still wouldn't mind her leaving because I'm just not interested in her. But, you know, she probably should leave now that she realizes how poorly her husband has been treating her. That guy is just a tool all around, isn't he?
I've always liked Aaron (the top Secret Service agent). He knows when the rules need to be broken, but then willingly takes responsibility when he does break them. He's like Jack that way, really.
The real problem with Jack disappearing with everyone is that Derek wants Jack for himself. The kid's in love.

You know, I found tonight's 24 fairly boring. Too many people had to act pretty dumb for things to work out the way they did. And too many plots were recycled from previous seasons.
I'd find it really funny if Mrs. Logan was trying to ruin her husband's presidency. I’m sure the public would want to know the truth about what happened with Walt, but I’m honestly not sure that’s in Logan’s best interests. I’m reminded of late last season when Palmer was helping out and pretty much running things, but the plan was to show the public that Logan was in charge. If the public would have been told the truth, they would have had no faith in the current administration. Which they shouldn't, but Logan doesn’t want too many people knowing that. So with that said, I'm not convinced he is going to take his wife's advice.
But then again, he might not have to because of what happened to Walt. Shouldn’t someone have been watching him? Eh, maybe Novick killed him.
That mechanic who helped the terrorists, am I free to just call him a dumbass? Do I have to qualify that in any way?
I hate it when the new characters have a family member who needs attention, it happens every year, so I was kind of pissed when Lynn’s sister called. But then I realized she was up to something so I felt a little better (but just a little). And then the payoff: Horray for muggings! But Lynn's keycard or whatever got stolen, so that's not good. Mainly because we'll have to hear about it more.
That sex slave is a pretty good shot. It would have been nice if she could have waited a few more minutes to kill the pedophile terrorist though. But this is another recycled plot, with the victim killing the only lead. Three years in a row.
Man, can’t Jack talk to Kim tomorrow? Or maybe send her a letter? No? Damn. I actually wouldn’t mind her showing up, there is a legitimate reason for once, but then she needs to leave before she has a chance to get involved in anything.
I also like how Jack's cracked ribs healed in about thirty seconds. Though that was technically a couple episodes ago.

I wasn't a big fan of last night's 24 either. But I had a reason Wind Fish (although you brought up a lot of things wrong with it).
I am a Spencer fan. When Edgar did his fake comfort then smiled behind Chloe's back I yelled at him. Actually yelled at the T.V. screen.

Last night's 24 was a Hell of a lot better than last week. It was phenomenal! It was the first time I actually liked Martha Logan even a little. I was actually hoping she would tell Walt's wife the truth even though it was obvious she wouldn't.
Jack did the right thing in my opinion and Lynn is going further and further down into his power trip.
I am also hoping Kim will show up soon.

At the Olympics last night a pair of skaters (can't remember their names; too hard to pronounces because they were from China) received the Silver medal even though the girl twisted her ankle and the had to restart in the middle of their act. At the end of it the crowd, as well as the other contestants, gave them a standing ovation.

After the Olympics are over in just under two weeks, the T.V. show Las Vegas is moving to Fridays. I haven't seen that in a while because I have been watching PrisonBreak and 24. If it is on Fridays, I'll be able to watch it again.

Yeah, this week's 24 was definitely better than last week's, but I don't think I liked it as much as you, Buffy Fan (oh, hey, you have the space in your name now). It was okay though.
While Martha didn't tell Walt's wife the truth, she told her assistant so it's going to get leaked anyway. Hooray for the end of Logan's presidency! Either that or the assistant bites it. I'm in favor of either option.
I thought Jack did the right thing too, but once he made his decision, he needed to try and apprehend the terrorists instead of continuing his charade. And Lynn should have ordered Curtis in once he realized what Jack was doing. So I think everyone blew it, some more than others.

Bones, the television show that David Boreanaz is now on originally started at 8:00 then when American Idol started it got moved to 9:00 and now that American Idol has picked the finalists, in three weeks, when (I think) American Idol will (again I think) start having the audience vote, Bones will be moved back to 8:00.

I missed 24 last night due to the fact that I was watching a movie and the other television was being used. I only saw 24 during the commercial breaks and unlike most shows I wasn't able to put the pieces of the puzzle together as well as I would have liked. Can someone who saw it tell me what happened in the episode. The only detail I know for sure is that Lynn wanted Jack in custody. What an idiot.

Oh man. You so don't want me to be the one to try and give you a full summary, but I'll try my best. I'll also just put a list of the important events at the end of the post if you'd rather just skip to that. First things first, Erwich, the guy who had been acting as the terrorist leader, went to meet his boss. The boss then killed Erwich for striking against the U.S. The boss' plan now is to kill the Russian President since he can’t directly attack Moscow anymore. Then, as you know, Lynn wanted Jack brought in because he didn’t follow orders the previous hour. Jack agrees to go back to CTU with Curtis. Meanwhile, Audrey gets a call from Nathanson (the guy in the room with TV monitors who was calling Walt). He tells her that he wants to talk to Jack. So Jack ends up getting the call and Nathanson tells him to go to a certain payphone. Jack knocks out Curtis and goes. While this is happening, we see the terrorists killing people who were helping Nathanson. So Jack gets to the payphone and Nathanson leads him to a building. The problem is the terrorists show up at the same time and after a long gunfight, Nathanson dies but not before Jack gets a chip off of him that gives him a lead. We’ll see where that goes next hour. As all that was happening, President Jackass lives up to his name. The terrorist boss calls him to say that they need the Russian President’s motorcade info. At the end of the episode he tells Novick to give it to them (so the terrorists don't use more gas against the U.S.), and then sends the Russians off to get blown up, shot, gassed, or whatever. But just as the show ends, Mrs. Logan (who is against the killing of Russian leaders) decides to go with the motorcade (the President doesn’t know this yet). It’s a smart move because either the jackass will let someone know what’s about to happen, or the U.S. won’t look as culpable to Russia if the First Lady also gets whacked. Now, the best part. Remember that Audrey got the initial call from Nathanson at the beginning of this episode. So she needs to keep this info from Lynn but also needs to help Jack out. But Lynn starts hounding her so she covertly enlists Chloe to help. Chloe eventually asks Buchanan to help stall Lynn while she and Audrey give info to Jack. During the whole episode Lynn keeps freaking out more and more about people going behind his back. At the end he finally loses his mind (conveniently when Buchanan asked if he could use Lynn’s missing keycard). The results are that Buchanan is now in holding, and there’s some special protocols in place where Lynn’s now watching what everyone is doing at all times. So I assume a mutiny will be taking place any hour now. Probably when/if Tony wakes up. Oh, and Lynn’s sister’s boyfriend (or whoever he is) is planning on doing something with Lynn’s keycard. We really don’t know what though. I won’t be surprised if I made that overly confusing, so don’t be afraid to ask me to clarify things. Important details are as follows: - Jack has a new lead.
- The terrorists want to kill the Russian President and have his motorcade info because President Jackass let them have it.
- Lynn's gone batshit loco. Although he did kind of have reason to think everyone's against him. They are. Because they know he's in over his head.
