You've read some of the Message Board Fanfic and now you want to talk about it. This is where you should do so. So yeah, any discussion at all about the story should go here. I don't think there's anything else I need to elaborate on.

A WARNING!!!
I may have been reading this since episode one, but I might not have the characters down right.

I think you did well so far.
I want to add, for everyone, that it's okay to make two or more posts in a row. Just keep going if you want. Especially if it's been a while between updates. The only real rule is that you shouldn't suddenly end the thing.
EDIT: I wasn't going to write the next part yet, but there's one line I wanted to use so I continued it a little. But I'm probably not going to update for a while, because I want to give someone else a chance to take a stab at what they think is going on.

As I wrote my last Message Board Fanfic in which they walk down the street, I realized that as I did this, the hardest characters for me to write are Andrew, Jamie and even Oni to some degree, but not as much as the previous two.

I had real trouble with this last update, but I really wanted to update also. I finally found a way and started with the bad guys before moving to the good guys and hopefully I threw in a "didn't see that coming" moment.

A little over 2000 words in and we have the following questions:
Why the mansion? Are Andrew, Jamie, and Oni safe there? Was there a vampire who was off taking a leak or something? Are the people in black really people? Would wooden bullets actually work? Who makes up 'The Board'? What do they want? Will they ever get a name that isn't lame? And finally: Will I ever write a story where Connor doesn't ask, "What just happened?"
Well, some of those questions are serious anyway.
At any rate, I am having fun with this so far. Hopefully I haven't been too cockeyed with my contributions.

I am better at writing once there are some details. I realize that. This is not the first fanfic I've ever written, but it is the first I've ever posted and I didn't start writing until at least season three or four of Buffy.
I don't know why a mansion. Or if the Scoobyettes (Dumb joke. Sorry!) are safe there or who the people in black were (But my guess was vampires) and as for wooden bullits in S1 of Angel Angel makes a comment to Faith that insinuates they would work. I did hwever answer the question as to who The Board was but not what they wanted, but I don't think it's a lame name and I never noticed Connor asking that question in a lot of your stories, thewindfish.
I am also having fun with this and I enjoyed writing this last part more than I thought I would

Yes! I get to write a fight scene between Connor and Arnold!
Seriously though, your update got me to write A LOT (for me). I ended up cutting some of it, but I'll still be posting more than I originally planned.
I do have an idea for the main plan, but I still decided to stay kind of vague because I'm not yet certain that it makes complete sense. So if you get inspired by my part and decide to go with something concrete, cool. Otherwise, I'll probably do a full reveal pretty soon.

The problem, though, is, I'm never sure where exactly where I am going with the story. When it began I never dreamed it would end up where it is now and even when I am writing that is usually when I make some of my decisions (like who The Board was going to be).

This section of the story wasn't as long as I would of liked it to be but honestly I didn't know where else to take it without getting to corny and I don't want to get to corny. A government conspiracy is as corny as I am willing to get.

When rereading the entire Message Board Fanfic Project I realized that in one of my sections I referred to the town the main characters (they really need a name) live in as San Palo instead of Palo Alto. I would like to set that straight here and now.

The one thing I've learned through writing the stories I've posted here and a couple other ones is that I hate writing scenes when there are more than, say, three characters in a room. I just don't handle it very well. I think that's why I naturally try to split everyone up, like I've done at every opportunity with this story. Same for me. Except for the opening, I haven't made one decision about the plot until I've started writing each scene. Part of me likes it that way, and the other part is cursing me for writing us into a little bit of a corner without thinking it through properly. Aw man, what's wrong with corny? I mean, I started this thing out by having a vampire give Connor a business card. The way was paved immediately for the story to turn out corny.

It doesn't matter as much to me whether or not they are together or apart because there are still the same amount of characters.
I like it sometimes not knowing where I'm going but in the end it can be both a good and bad thing. In other words too hard to explain.
Government conspiracy is "corny" corny and I am not willing to go further because then it would be something Joss Whedon would consider silly and he never wanted his show to be like the movie of the same name. Seasons three and four where the villains of the mayor of Sunnydale and The Initiative were never even too corny. The mayor was great and The Initiative was terrible, but gave Spike a reason to be a good guy so they were decent for a while but other than that government conspiracy is corny and as corny as I am willing to get.

I liked reading your last part. Splitting everyone up gave me a lot to work with.

Spoiler Warning
Writing this part was hard because of what I did but fun because I have never in all my years of writing been able to have the guts to do it (I will miss Lorne). And hopefully it won't happen to any other characters because I personally don't think (no, I can't) I could do it to any of them yet (if ever).
