Title: Graveyard Proposal
Ship: Connor/Salome
Words: 360
Author's Notes: NOT canon for "The Nyazian Prophecies". I cannot stress this enough, I was just goofing around. But it's set probably 2-3 years after TNP S1. This is thewindfish's fault, based on his comments in This Thread

"Watch your back!" Connor called out. He shoved the stake in his hand deep into the chest of the vampire he was fighting. As the vampire disintegrated, he looked worriedly over at his girlfriend.
Salome whirled around, landing a hard kick into the vampire's stomach. "I got it, Ace!" She called out.
Another vampire descended on Connor. He grabbed it by the collar, smiling wickedly. "You're going to help me out." Instead of battling against his enemy, he dropped his stake and reached into his pocket.
He pulled out the small piece of jewellery. He shoved it into the vampire's mouth, and then cracked his fist into its jaw to force it to swallow.
"Salome!" Connor yelled. "A little help, please?"
Salome staked her opponent and ran to Connor. She kicked the Nyazian Fang up off the ground, grabbing the hilt and swinging. Connor ducked down as Salome decapitated the vampire.
"Well." Salome looked around. The graveyard was now calm. "That was--" She frowned as she looked down at Connor, who had gotten down on one knee. "Ace?"
She then noticed the shine in the pile of dust. She dropped her sword, eyes growing wide. "What the hell..." She picked up the object, cleaning it off. It was a modest silver ring with a small purple jewel. She stared at it, blinking. "Umm..."
"Salome?" Connor looked up at Salome, his blue eyes wide with fear and vulnerability.
Salome clutched the ring tightly, letting out a shaky breath. "Oh, Ace... What are you doing? What the hell are you doing?"
"You want me to say it, Beautiful?" Connor said softly. "You know I'm not good with words. I'm about the action." He got to his feet, pulling her close. He took her mouth passionately. "I'm supposed to have a big destiny, Sal. I want that destiny to be with you." He ran a hand over her hair. "Will you marry me... Please?"
Salome didn't say a word. She leapt on Connor, wrapping her arms and legs around him. They toppled over, hitting the ground. Salome furiously kissed him.
When they finally parted, Connor was panting. "So... Is that a yes?"
