Synopsis: After fighting alongside his father against Marcus Hamilton, Connor Riley retreated back to his normal life. He's now in his sophomore year at Stanford. He is desperate to keep his life normal. However, the demons have another idea. Now Connor must team with some very unlikely allies if he wants to stay alive.
Connor's back in action... Andrew's back in California... Salome and Jamie are introduced... Wesley is... ALIVE?

Read it. Liked it a lot.
Wasn't too surprised to see Wesley at the end, but that was because I looked at the characters first.
Pretty Good Pilot, going to check out the others now.

Oops. I waited a few episodes until adding Wesley to the cast list, but I forgot that there would be people coming in late. I should be more careful.

Hi, just found your website on the vs_writers yahoo group and just had to tell you how good it is. The first episode was ace with a good plot, good characters and excellent imagery. I just wish it was a real series! Well, enough of my ranting. Hope the other episodes are as good and this one and the series just keeps on going and going.
(am i sounding a bit to hyper, must be all the coke ive been drinking today!)

I have so far read all of the episodes 1-9, but I will talk about whaty I remember about wanting to write since I just now learned how to do this.  The introduction to all the characters was brilliant. Conner was always better in this (so far) and in season 5 of Angel than in seasons 3 and 4 of Angel. Jamie and his sister are acting just like a brother and sister shopuld and the crush she has on Conner as opposed to the crush he has on Solome is a great triange that reminds me of season 1 of Buffy. I actually figured Solome would be a demon because... hello, Conner likes her. And the entrance of Wesley as the Master bad guy was wonderful! |

Thank you. I was always fond of Connor in season three and four, but I have to put a bit more sensibility and stability into him, which is what S5 provides him.
I have two brothers, so a lot of Jamie and Jules came from me and my brothers.
Thank you! That is EXACTLY what I was aiming for.
Heh. Thanks! I knew I wanted Connor to like someone who had some powers in their own right, but I didn't want to go the Slayer route, because where's the drama?
I'm a big Wesley fan and I really wanted to bring him back. This seemed like a really good way to go about it.

I just read the first episode, and I wanted to say pretty awesome show! I love the concept and the characters (both the presentation of the existing characters, and the original characters). Off to read more!

I've been enjoying the art and media for a few months now, but I told myself I wouldn't start reading until I finally watched all the seasons of Angel... I couldn't take it anymore!! This series called to me, and I finally broke down and read the first ep before finishing Angel. This was so awesome! I laughed at Connor's reaction to the Man in Black. The lecture hall was very vivid and the overall angst is so real! Can't wait to read ep 2! ... Do you think I can make it through another Angel disc before the call of ep 2 becomes too strong?  |
