Oz comes to Palo Alto to find a beautiful singer. When Jamie meets her, he's smitten... But she's focusing her attention on the Destroyer.

Why are heroes so Emo?

I would guess because they have so much pressure on them... That and having perfectly well-adjusted heroes gets kinda boring.

I don't get it. I'm talking about the last scene. On every episode of every show ever including the Joss Whedon shows, that kind of conversation is the turning point and here it seems like it is going to lead even further downhill from what your little teaser is saying. I don't get why. Other than that the episode was great.

I'm bucking the trends. Connor's complicated. It's hard for him to do a one-convo-turnaround.
Connor's not going to be picking fights with Sal any longer... But he doesn't know how to reconnect with her.

Too bad i was just getting used to the idea of Mandy and Connor and before Andrew has a date Jamie has to get laid it will help even out the balance. Love the Canadian connection with Alanis as i love You Oughta Know. I enjoyed the Dawn and Sal interaction on the phone when they talked about Connor.

Whoa... Dumbass me. I didn't even think of the fact that Alanis is Canadian Content. I just used it because I love Alanis and it seemed like a good song for Siobhan to sing.
I really like building up a friendship between Sal and Dawn, which is weird because I'm really not a Dawn fan. But she's growing on me as I write more bits of her in TNP.
Everyone will get a chance at love eventually. I promise.

Katamari! Those games are insanely popular at one of the message boards I frequent.
Realizing what Connor was doing during the first act I actually was feeling sorry for him, if also miffed. Felt worse for Salome though because this is the wrong time for him to treat her like crap. Not that there’s a right time, but you know. I can understand things not getting immediately better between them after the way things have played out so far.

Will Connors memory loss angst be as long as buffys came-back-from-heaven angst?

Loved the opening scene with Andrew and Jamie, the toast, the speech, Jamie’s line about there friends not being there while they are getting emotional!! And of course Andrew’s remark "I wish I had Salome's relationship." And the reaction that follow’s. These two are bonding well!! Connor and Oz being friends is so cool!! And while reading this esp I hoped that the Lover's quarrel woudn’t last to long in the season because they where making me upset . Liked Salome spilling her drink in Connor’s face because he was acting like a Jerk. This doesn’t mean I don’t feel sorry for him, he has a lot on his mind!! So far though I haven’t really seen any differences in Connor. In eps 1 I thought he wasn’t as geeky as he used to be because of the scene in the comic shop. Maybe he had lost the memories of watching series/movies and reading alot of comic books. At the end of the this eps it became clear that it is more about his ‘inner demons’ he is dealing with. Although I agree with Oni’s attitude towards Connor and Mandy, I like Mandy so far. And what to say about Jamie...the way he helped/stopped Siobhan was sweat and sad. Also including the talk with Connor proves he cares a great deal and can be very compassioned.

And of course Andrew’s remark "I wish I had Salome's relationship." And the reaction that follow’s. These two are bonding well!! I always knew that once Jamie got past his initial hesitations, Jamie and Andrew would be good friends. Connor, Jamie and Andrew are like the new Trio... Only good this time. They're almost as geeky as the old ones, but now they fight on the side of good. I think Oz's coolness really appeals to Connor. I mean, I can totally see the initial meeting: Oz: You Connor? Connor: Yeah. Oz: So you're Angel's son? Connor: Yeah. Oz: *shrug* I can really see that appealing to him. Not to mention... Oz is just damn cool. It hurts me too. It just feels so unnatural having Con/Sal not get along. They're so right together. I like when the fight, but only when you know their fights don't really mean anything. There really is no difference with Connor now. The only thing is... He can't remember his childhood with the Rileys. He's pretty much exactly the same guy he was in S1. He just thinks he's different, which is the most tragic part. I think Mandy's cool... But Oni's protective of her best friend. Jamie is an incredibly sensitive guy and he really feels for everyone. He desperately wants to be with someone, because he is so incredibly emotional and he wants to share those emotions with someone special.
