Connor and his friends are trapped in Mandy's National Novel Writing Month story, a gritty supernatural crime drama... The plot of which makes Angel the captive of a mobster.

This was a good episode. I liked how it started out in the "Superstar" spell already activated style. When Salome remembered she wSalome and not the book character, her reaction was wonderful. Andrew's last line of Act Three was classic Andrew and Connor getting a new car. Cool! I hope the next episode(s) will be up faster than four months because despite not posting her a lot I still check to see if episodes are posted very often.

Yay! Glad to have a new story--well worth the wait. Loved to have some Congel interaction at the end...sad to see Angel going now that it seems like he and Connor are finally coming to a sort of good place.

Glad you guys liked the episode.
As for why Angel and Spike had to leave... One of the things I've been having problems with for the past little while is cast bloat. I've had a lot of people to take care of and try to work into the plot. We have Connor, Salome, Jamie, Oni, Mandy and Andrew. That's a large group of people. We also have Lorne, Crawford, Clem, the bad guys... And for the last couple of episodes, Angel and Spike. There were just too many people and Angel and Spike were the easiest to send off. And I felt they'd served their purpose to the arc. When Angel and Spike come into the plot, things very much become about them being there. It was nice to have them for a while (four episodes is a good arc), but it was time to have them leave.

OMG! I LOVE IT!!! And you talked it down so much. I liked how it started right inside of Mandi's story. I didn't expect that, and was thrown off for about 2 minutes. I like that bit about Connor enjoying burying a stake in vampires, and HIS stake in a Nyazian demon. Now Connor that has a car, I wonder how long it'll take for him, and Salome to initiate it. LOL. I think Andrew's car is bigger inside than a Viper.

Loved "Kiss of the Undead"! Is "Semper Fidelis" going to be ready soon now that you have less characters to worry about, Emcee? (And no special requests from me, too.)

I loved the episode-and series-very much and don't want to beg, but please have "Semper Fidelis" ready soon.

Semper Fidelis is coming much quicker than Kiss of the Undead did, so it probably won't take as long. But it's difficult for a couple of reasons:
(1) While not "Arc" episodes, both Semper Fidelis and Tempus Fugit really progress some of the character arcs for both the season AND the series.
(2) Two-parters are always more difficult than single eps.
(3) The subject matter has been so anticipated, I want to play it just right.
Keep a look out for it, but remember that I want to do this well. No rushing the good stuff.

Hi there Emcee et al. New to the site, came across it a couple of days ago. Just got myself up to speed with the story having read S1 and the movie. Congratulations on a really good series. There are a lot of Buffy/Angel spinoff and continuation VSs out there, and most of 'em really aren't up to much. I'm really enjoying the Nyazian Prophecies and I'm eagerly anticipating the next episode. Er... now realising this is somewhat OT in the "Kiss of the Undead" thread... Emcee - just keep it up. It's bloody great!

In this series you have really taken Connor and made him your own. And have taken topics that have been completely butchered by other writers (such as Angel lurking around sucking up air) and made them intelligent, entertaining and believeable. Here, Connor isn't just a 2-dimensional flunkie, or a needlessly moody teenager, but has realistic depictions, super warrior or not, a person can only take so much. I cannot wait to read the next story in this series. Thank you so much for sharing, this is exactly what I have been looking for as far as Connor fanfics go.
