In their attempt to stop Jasmine's followers, Connor and Jamie are caught within their resurrection spell. They find themselves somewhere very familar... The Hyperion Hotel in May 2003.

Yes, you were mentioned, Sir. I loved that theory. I had actually planned to post a drawing I'd done of the Gatekeeper in my LJ, but I held off for fear of spoiling your awesome theory. Honestly, never occurred to me... But that would have been an interesting way to go.
As for your new theory... Well, I do enjoy theories.

Great episode! You really did a good job of this time travel episode, Emcee. No huge alterations to the timeline that couldn't be fixed. Loved how Salome was able to easily take out Faye-smine and how Connor and Jamie met past-Salome and everything that happened in the Hyperion. Esp. Salome dispatching the assassin and how Connor was able to get Jamie fixed up. This episode was just--I loved it! Can't wait till the next one! ;D P.S. The Matt and Andrew storyline was also pretty moving, too.
All in all, this time travel episode was very well done! And I loved all the character developments with the main characters.

I read the episode using the link but I would still prefer to be able to link it to the Now Playing part of the page of www.nyazian.net which still shows and has episode 2x11 on it. As for the episode itself. It was great. I like how you fixed the problem of the time travel, but I do have a question: Was the gatekeeper Salome or did the gatekeeper just look like Salome?

Salnor-- I really wanted to twist Magic Bullet as much as I could without messing up what we knew happened in "Magic Bullet". I think the attempt was rather successful. Salome fighting Faye-smine was a lot of fun. I really do like when Salome gets to just be a complete and utter badass, even if it does point towards badness.
BuffyFan-- I'm not sure why you weren't able to access the episode through "Now Playing". You should have been able to. It IS up. I'd suggest emptying your cache and reloading the page, because it is there.
As for the Gatekeeper, she is NOT Salome. The Gatekeeper is played by Madeline Zima.

I read this again after my problem was fixed. I was never a fan of the Jasmine storyline. I was honestly thrilled when it was over. To me the episode Home was a blessing for the reason that the Jasmine storyline was over and done with and for what promised to be a good season five. This made up for a little of the Jasmine crap. Although I do agree on the "Mandy" song. That was fun in Angel and The Nyazian Prophecies.

I really liked this episode. The part at the end at Cordelia's grave made me cry a little. I couldn't stand her after season four but it was very touching for Connor to be able to have that closure. As for the Gatekeeper - after reeading the last act I thought it was Connor and Salome's daughter too. It seems to fit.

I just listened to Emcee's commentary on itunes and I'm impressed by all the thought processes that went into the creation of the episodes. Esp. when it came to the whole time travel thing and the "ontological paradox" of Connor and Salome's connection. Very clever. A lot goes into writing fiction--fan fiction or regular fiction. That's why I'd only do fiction writing as a hobby and not as a full-time job--regardless of how good I am at it.

Exciting, gripping and intelligent storytelling demonstrated on this site. The last 3 episodes of the season look great (even though they are only titles that have been shown so far). Good story, more please.
