Oni is forced to confront harsh reality when Crawford reveals the damage done by his transformation is more than skin deep.

Great episode! Touching, creative and well worth the wait! Magnimus getting the crap beat out of her was entertaining, too!

For a character that I wasn't incredibly fond of, you made it very easy to be sad over the loss of his passing.
I also didn't know for sure until he showed up to save Oni's life from Magnimus (I don't know if I spelled the name right) that he was actually going to die. So in that respect it was written very well also.
My only problem with this is actually something that is impossible to get around. There were a lot of ideas from season five of Buffy that seemed shoved into this one episode. Even for a season that acts as a sequel to that season.
Loved it!

that's what I never got about Joyce's death, magic and the medical not mixing? I seem to recall a bullet being exctracted from buffy, and willow fixing her eaten skin and wipeing away all her injuries in seconds, just because an "injury" isn't on the outside doesn't mean it shouldn't be treatable
I kind of wish Oni wouldn't made something up about glorficus, something ingenius enough to convince magnimus of it's truth so she could heal crawford. (made me too sad, I'd rather not feel that way)
so, who do you think would win? the Million-in-one, or Crawford chaneling all of the demonic energy within?
I wonder if Oni'll get back together with wesley, they both lost the love of their lives, so there really shouldn't be that much friction since they can both understand eachothers pain.

I wish there was an edit button, just like to add that I love how Andrew still sidesteps the connor crush, even though they're now both in relationships
and then I think of the first evil, the type of being willing to appear as crawford... or OMG, the first evil could appear as jesus, couldn't it? come to tell matty and andy how abominational they are (it being the first evil talkin)
actually, I'd pay to see a scene with the first evil taunting a slightly less coherent Magnimus with the form of Glory

I know Continuity isn't really that important as long as the stories good, but I'd like to point out that in episode 3 or 4 of season one wesley didn't recognise Salome's discription, even though he performed the marriage ceremony for her and azriel.. and he wouldn't have a reason to lie to clarice about something as relatively tiny as that... especially to the "superstrength flunky"
And in episode 5 of season one we have this: Meerna pursed her lips. "I'm a dimensional traveller with blue skin. For the past twenty-five years I've had the similarities to that comic book character pointed out to me. I don't miss it at all. As long as I can keep my glamour on I will." and yet we find out in, IIRC, season 2 that Meerna doesn't have a demon form at all, at least not one since she left the clan, a great deal before season one of TNP
Also there's something I don't get about Jamie spieing on Connor for a year and a half, especially since Season 1 of TNP happens about 4 or less months after Season 5 of Angel (judging from his conversation with Andrew) so did Cyvus really have the foresight to include memories of giving James II information to give to his son Jamie to watch Connor and transport Jamie to palo alto (considering he wouldn't be there were it not for James II) and warp everyones memories there?
Considering Cyvus couldn't've known he was going to be in wesley and living in palo alto to create a hellmouth a year before when he made the memories... well it just really doesn't make sense to me.

On the first point... Clarice called her Salome Simpson, Salome Wagner, Salome Mallory and Salome Beckett. When Cyvus knew Salome she was Salome Carr. Also, there was ten years from that time and when Cyvus had known her (during a time when Nyazian aging is equal to humans). Also, remember Salome was gothed up really good when she married Azriel. It is in the realm of possibility he wouldn't recognize her.
As for the Meerna thing... Yeah, that's a continuity flub. But it can be explained away as (1) Happening very early in the series and being a one-off line (such as Spike's "you were my sire!" to Angel, when we find out later Drusilla was his sire).
The Jamie thing, however, is NOT an error. Cyvus Vail did the memory spell at the END OF SEASON FOUR, which would be a year and a half before 1x04 of TNP. And Cyvus most definitely would have the foresight as he was very familiar with the Nyazian Scrolls. He didn't know the exact details of everything (such as him dying and going into Wesley), he knew that Connor was going to be an opponent of his in the future.

well, as I've decided to wait a month, instead of three weeks, before I ask... how far along are you on Ep.17?
