A sorority party at Lamia House leads to a romance for Jamie that comes with a price.

While this wasn't the best of episodes, it was good for filler. Way to stay true to the Btvs love sucks philosophy. I loved the reference to Dr. Doyle (I would love to see Harry one of these times by the way. She'd be such fun with Oni)
Poor Jaime. He really had a rough time this episode... its wierd, but more and more I keep thinking that I'd love to see him with Oni, but Oni seems a bit stuck on Wes.
And what's this about Whistler being involved with the Nyazians? This is the Whistler from Buffy right?

Very early on I knew Jamie was the "Xander" of the group (except, you know, NOT Xander). So I wanted to do a "Jamie dates a demon" episode to pay homage. But of course, I gave it its own spin.
Not every episode can be a mythic arc. So as long as you think the filler is good, I'm happy.
It's a very important concept that has to be kept up.
In the original draft of "In Translation", Harry Doyle appeared, but she was cut out. I would love to have her appear eventually, just to show what she's been up to in the last... Wow, five years.
Yeah, Jamie had a rough ride this episode. And Oni/Jamie has been considered as a possibility, but this thing between Oni/Wes (which was completely unintentional) just sort of came up. I think, for now, the only steady romance is going to be between Connor/Salome
Not Whistler the demon. Whistler the place. Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. It's a small area North of Vancouver in the Coast Mountains. It's mostly known as a place for great skiiing. The Nyazian clan lived in the mountains there. If you recall in episode 1x08 (Still Life), Salome told Percy she was originally from British Columbia.

Great episode! Loved the minature reference to Angel! I figured out how you got the name Magdalen... isn't Mary Magdelene a prositute from the Bible? (Go The DaVinci Code!). The plot was great! I like the idea of Oni accidentaly winning poker. It was so much like Anya winning Life by accident ("Look at this! Now I'm burdened with a husband and several tiny pink children, more cash than I can reasonably manage.").
Hehe "The smell of vampires... Clem dancing in a bikini... My dad making out with Andrew..." loved that line... incredibly hilarious!

Thank you.
Yes, Magdalen is a reference to Mary Magdalene (who is an interest of mine). I also just loved the name and I thought it went really well with Dahlia.
Oni winning at poker is something we've wanted to do for a long time. Not just as a one-time joke, but as a running thing. We thought it would be a good hobby for her to have.
That WAS one of my favourite lines too. Maybe it's weird, but I just love being able to put Connor is very uncomfortable situations. He (like his dear old dad before him) is someone who doesn't often get into hilarious situations. But when he does... Boy howdy.
Hmm... I wonder if Connor can dance...

I love that line "The smell of vampires... Clem dancing in a bikini... My dad making out with Andrew..." also for some reason this ep made me think that Dru is coming into the picture also when Salome was in the house i was thinking she was going to be wearing the cheerleading uniform because if i am not mistaken she threw the uniform at Connor and not in the trash

As much I as I love Drusilla, she won't appear in "The Nyazian Prophecies". She is one of the main oppositions in the VS "The Destroyer" by Masquerade. Since both series focus around Connor, Masq and I made a deal out of mutual respect: Drusilla will never appear in TNP and Andrew will never appear in TD.
I think the cheerleading uniform is gone. I think Connor would have gotten rid of it, since it belonged to Tucker (he's more of Naughty Nurse man too).

I'm not sure i'd like to see Wes/Oni. I think the age difference makes it creepy and that Wes would never get over the whole Fred/Illyria thing.

I did like the episode, but I'm having trouble finding things to say about it. Let's see...
While it didn't work out too well for Jamie, he gets a much better place to live out of the deal so it's not all bad.
Connor taking Salome to an art gallery for their first date... yeah, I figured he'd want to make up for his lack of interest the first time around.
It was great when Kim Bauer died. I've been waiting for that to happen for... what? Dahlia who? Well... crap. Yeah, just let me pretend, okay?
As for Wes/Oni... I'm really just feeling "meh" about it. If that ends up being what they want, they should go for it. It's not like Wes hasn't shown interest in younger women before. But I'm not particularly rooting for it or anything.
I'm sure Angel made sure the kid got some ballet lessons with the new memories.
The next episode sounds too interesting for me to wait a week after it's been posted to read it like I have the last couple. I'll be making time for it, that's for sure.

He's trying to have that outlook on it. And he's hoping that by getting the gutwrenching romance out of the way, maybe next one will be a winner.
I think this date was probably their only real date. I have a sneaking suspicion Connor and Sal's dates usually consist of going patrolling then making out. Not that there's anything wrong with it...
Heh. Not being a 24 fan, I always think of her as The Girl Next Door.
Well, I'm not saying ANYTHING spoilery, but yeah... Wes has had interest in younger women before. And considering the age differences in Buffyverse romances, I think 12 years is absolutely nothing.
But that's not to say anything is going to happen.
It should be up tonight. I hope. It's done. It just need to be coded and stuff.

I forgot last night, "That just makes you one of us" is a great line. I liked it when Faith said it to Connor, and I like him saying it to Jamie.

I'm glad you did. I'm a big fan of the entire last scene. It's one of the first times that I really think it came across that Connor and Jamie are best friends.

Is the old woman in this the same woman from Buffy or is it just the same actress? Jamie is in a suky position in this episode because she seemed nice all the way until she revealed what she was doing and even then I understand to SOME degree why she did. But it doesn't excuse it unfortunatly.
