Wesley is disturbed by dreams he can't escape while he tries to sort out his place post-resurrection.

Great ep i know you had a hard time writing it but you did Wes justice. I like the ghost representing different things for Wes. The return of the green guy you can't help but love was great. I much like you can't wait for the next ep because i know how you already started writing it.

This episode was really my love note to Wesley and I really wanted to get it down right. He's a very complex man, but I was very happy with the results.
I was happy to bring Lorne back, if only for a small part. While I want him to be involved, I don't want to stick in the thankless job of the later seasons of Angel-- you know, just being there and making wisecracks.
The next episode is definitely going to be something. We're on the home stretch now.

*Does the Pylean dance of great grand joy* This episode was honestly my favorite one yet! I love the fact you brought the man with chee slice's back. I love the ending, it was bittersweet. But does that mean Wesley is going to come back in the second season?

I'm glad you enjoyed. IMHO, the Cheese Man is essential to a Buffyverse dream.
Wesley will definitely appear in S2. He won't have as large a part as he did in S1, but he WILL appear.

Thank god! What about the others? Connor mention Illyria was alive, which I know she was but like I sort of forgot, about all the others up untill this episode. Will Angel make a guest appearence? Like a Season Final kinda of thing? The tension between him and Angel would be magical, (oh yeh Angel and Connor to)

I can tell you about that type of thing, but only if you start a thread in the "Spoilers and Speculations". There are some people who will read this thread that don't want to know what will happen.

Loved this episode! You wrote the dreams in perfect Jossverse fashion! The cheeseman was great! I love Wesley and Oni (We need a ship name my vote goes to Onsley) and the hilarious scratch marks on Connor. The Weight of the World-esque spell was cool and I love how each of the women represented something. Loved that Faith guest starred it never occured to me how much she affected him.
I think the main reason why you put the barrier between the council and the group (we need a collective, Why am I always asking for nicknames?) was just to stop people from asking for crossovers. I love your little mentions to the Buffy and Angel (where you mentioned Shorshack and Ethros (form I've got you under my skin) and animal demon posession (the pack)). Also with the 'jail bait' thing. Love it how you refer to Ye Olden Days. The Connor/Andrew thing was hilarious as was the kitten! Loved the episode!

I'm a big fan of all the dream eps, so I wanted to do something in the same fashion, but distinctly TNP. I think it worked out really well.
Wesley/Oni was dubbed "Human Mating Rituals" in the Shipper Forum.
I don't know why I thought the scratch marks would be so funny. I think I thought the idea of Connor and Salome squabbling over Salome cutting her claws would kind of morph them into an old married couple. You know, the demon equivelent of snoring.
I love Faith and I have been waiting for an excuse to bring her in. I think Faith really did affect Wesley and he's thought about her a lot in the last little while. He's now in a mentor position with five young people who are comparable in age to Faith. Connor has already proven himself to be more unstable than Faith. So I think Wes has been thinking that if he failed with Faith, he'll fail in helping Connor. Of course, what Wesley doesn't consider is he's a completely different person than he was then. And while he is a mentor to the kids, he's also their friend. He's not as full of himself as he was when he was a Watcher and I think Connor, Sal, Andrew, etc have more maturity than Faith did during S3.
In a way. The barrier spell is an excuse to keep Angel and Co out of Palo Alto. Not so much to get people to stop asking for crossovers (because there are still requests), but as a solid canon reason for Connor and Co to be stuck without help. Since its their show, they need to take care of the problem without help. I couldn't reasonably see Angel not coming to help his own son if he knew he was in danger. So I had to come up with a reason for it.
I subscribe to the Goddard rule of Buffy Writing: Reference one Buffyverse episode = good. Reference three Buffyverse episodes = Better. Reference TEN Buffyverse episodes = Gold.
I love having Connor and Andrew interact. I think they make the perfect odd couple. Considering they were the first characters put into the show, I haven't had nearly as much bonding as I would like. So I'm always very happy to get a reason to put those two together.
As for Jack... He will be a reoccurring character. And he will start developing some strange quirks.
Thanks! Glad you liked it!

Hopefully, Straight to the Jack will have a bit more personality (of course, Miss Kitty only appeared in two eps, so it's not hard to do). I hope to keep him around. So no crossbow accidents!

There was a lot of good to this episode. Everyone else has talked about most of the things I was going to say, so I’ll just say I agree with them.
So Wes's first dream... Salome and the tiara. I'm wondering what the significance of that whole sequence is.
I never expected Wes to be a regular next season, so his decision at the end isn't really much of a shock. It'll be another story if at some point he changes his mind. But when all this is done, if he wants to be a Watcher again, he'll probably be more needed elsewhere for the time being anyway.
I think they've been calling themselves The Justice League. Salome did a couple episodes back anyway.

From episode 12: "She's stronger than you think," Wesley said quickly. He looked up. "That's one thing I remember. Vail... Thought that. I don't think he was... Afraid of her. But there was something about her that worried him.
But other than that, I'll let the next four episodes explain.
As much as I love him, Wes is another safety net for the group. He's older, he's dealt with this kind of thing longer. I think for the group to really sustain itself he's got to leave. Probably not permanently, because God knows I LOVE Wes and Alexis Denisof. But at least for a bit.
Justice League has been used a couple of times to describe the group. But I don't know if it's going to stick. Angel's gang never really got a name. Sometimes you just find something and it sticks.

Yeah, I remembered that (for once). I've been curious about what he knows but doesn't remember for a long time now. That's why the little hint this episode was intriguing.
