As of The Vampire Slayer (Episode 9).
Clarice died in this episode but at the same time we actually learned all of her exposition in this episode. I never guessed what she was. I personally thought it was something phlabatnomlike (a Joss Whedon word for a manmade object) such as the Gem of Amara or even The Codex that was making her stromger than all of the other vampires.

Oh, that lovely Phlotbatnum. I am fond of it (Though I personally call it "Frodis", which is the word I plug into my first draft before I find something else to put in.)
I wanted Connor to have a vampire bad guy to start with, but knew they had to be stronger than normal to convincingly have him be unable to kill her. The Vampire Slayer felt really natural, since I have been exploring the idea of Connor being a Slayer. I like the idea of them being Slayers, but with their own personal darkness. As Clarice said, she and Connor do have a lot alike.

The look Vail has now that he is out of Wesley's body is great. Also I am a little confused. Is the reason he is the head of the Black Thorn because they were all killed in the series finale of Angel. I also had a speculative theory concerning how Salome and Vail might be related, but I wanted to run something by Emcee first. What is the age diffrence between Vail and Salome? Are they brother and sister or is there a big enough gab to be Father and daughter?

Pretty much. Cyvus Vail was #2 within the Circle, after Archduke Sebassis, but since the rest of the Circle was killed, he's in charge.
Cyvus Vail is around 1,500 years old.
Mistress Meerna is about 150.
Azriel Vail is about 140.
Salome is 25 years old.
From 1-21, Nyazian aging is very close to humans (albeit a bit slower). After the age of 21, Nyazian aging is directly related to their power. The more power a Nyazian possesses, the slower they age.

Does illyria have magickal resistance? with the power cyvus and Salome have it doesn't seem like Illyria could really compete, not counting her strength

I haven't really established what kind of power Illyria has at the moment. I'll worry about it when Illyria returns and what is needed for the story.
And thank you... I really like the way Clarice worked. For me, her character just made sense.

I also managed to feel sorry for clarice, she doesn't belong in either world it's kind of odd though that the vamp in the current episode was willing to turn a slayer

The vampire was willing to turn Mandy specifically because Clarice was such a hard bad guy for Connor to defeat. Clarice (and the Beast from S4) is probably the demon that's gotten the closest to killing Connor. The vampire wanted Connor dead, so he was willing to turn her until Yahku told him not to.

well the closest demon to kill connor was Angel
he must have been a pretty new vamp. the master threw a fit when he found out about clarice, it's one of those unwritten rules, like don't do **** on hollowe'en

Yep. Pretty much after Salome dropped the f-bomb in 1x14, I decided to get rid of the censor words. There are a few people can't use (racial slurs and the like), but for the most part... Go to town.
