Mentorships is something I came up with after thinking about how similar Jamie and Xander are when it comes to (disfunctional) romantic relationships and how nice it would be if Xander were to provide Jamie with positive encouragement. As a mentor, that is.
Besides Jamie/Xander, here are some mentorships worth noting:
Salome/Willow
Connor/Buffy
Salome/Illyria (Creator-Creation)
Connor/Wesley
Mandy/Faith
Andrew/Giles
Oni/Wesley
Sorry I couldn't think of more for Oni or Andrew besides the obvious ones. But all of this should be enough to think about. What does everyone think of my mentorship ideas? What do you all think of mentorships in general?

Come on; someone must have an opinion about Xander mentoring Jamie! I thought it was a great idea.

it's tough to mentor a guy in being the normal one of a group of demon slayers, when the mentoree is a genuis

No offense, but if Jamie's a genius, how come he has the same luck as Xander (so far) when it comes to finding a girlfriend? Besides, he and Xander are kindred spirits in regard to not having superpowers or enhanced abilities.

I think it would be funny if Xander would give Jamie advise about dealing with evil demon chicks, although I must say Jamie seems to handle it better than Xander, he has more understanding-compassion for the girl (Siobhan) or was capeble of killing her (Dahlia). So maybe Xander can give Jamie the signs to look for  and Jamie can give Xander some kind of wisdom about dealing with them!! ;D But about Xander giving Jamie advise about having no superpowers, I think that would be to early. I mean Andrew and Oni don´t have superpowers either! Wesley/Connor, now that would be cool!! There has already been some of that in season 1, but I just can´t get enough!! Maybe because there wasn´t any interaction in season 4 ats, Nothing interesting atleast! |

On another note, the Slayer's Council characters I would love to see the most on TNP are Angel, Spike, Illyria, Buffy, Dawn, and Wesley. All the others are secondary.

Connor/Buffy seems really cool, as well as Connor/Faith. I used to be a Connor/Faith shipper, but I recently decided that they actually have too much in common to last as a couple. But as someone who's gone to the dark and come back, I think she'd make a great mentor for Connor.
