Meerna's statement about easy access to and from Quortoth within the last five years does make sense when you think about it. I mean Dawn did come into existence five years before the events in "Fissures" since she's the "Key" between the different dimensions. Dawn pretty much has to come back Season 2 since the new story arc definitely seems to involve her. What I would like to see happen is maybe Willow and Salome come up with a way to somehow neutralize Dawn's mystical energy and destroy the Key without destroying Dawn since everyone really likes her-including me. Once the Key is gone, no more interdimensional traveling for a while- hopefully.  |

Actually Dawn has been in existance for millions of years, but as the Key.
I won't say a lot, but I will say Dawn being in human form didn't effect the veil between Earth and Quortoth.
But your judgment of the time is right. Five years prior to S2 of TNP was S5 of BtVS.
Dawn will also most definitely appear sometime this season.

Hopefully, the dimensional boundary thing gets resolved 2nd season! It would suck if there was hell on Earth.

This was the one thing that gave me the most chills in this episode. And I didn't even think of the Dawn aspect of it.

I am actually curious as to whether or not Dawn will live now that the episode Sisters is put up. I am probably one of the few fans that was more annoyed with other characters than with her, so personally I don't want her to die, even if she doesn't stay in The Nyazian Prophecies Universe long. Although another girl who has a crush on Connor would make Salome's annoyance and Mandy's jokes about her annoyance that much more funny.
