Wesley couldn't control either buffy or faith and did the wrong thing after overhearing a conversation between Buffy and Giles
Faith and Wes fought many times in their short time together in Season 4 and Wesley almost sent Faith to her death-bed
Giles and buffy's relationship was strained several times between 5 and 7, specifically about Dawn and Spike
Connor wanted (really) nothing to do with the demon world and only really fought to help out, Andrew represented the demonic world to him, so there was a lot of resentment

I think out of all the Watcher/Slayer dynamics, the best, in my opinion would have to be, Wesley/Faith from season four of Angel because she respects his words even in the episode where she see him stab a junkie and even though he yells at her he does it so that, "she'll have what it takes to beat him" (Angelus).
In seasons one through three of Buffy, Buffy was too young and immature to really pay attention to Giles even if she did look up to or respect him and as for Wesley with Buffy and Faith in season three he was too pompous that they didn't listen to him.
In season four and five Giles was fired and Buffy kind of treated him like Spike said a lot of the time "like a retired librarian (although not quite as much in season five). With Faith in season four of Buffy Giles had had it with her in season three and turned her in.
In season one of Angel she wanted to change but didn't know how and by the time she asked for help Wesley had turned her back on Faith.
That is why season four when she breaks out and they work together it is the best because in season six of Buffy Giles isn't there and seven Giles goes behind Buffy's back the majority of the time and in my opinion, Spike is right. He couldn't handle that Buffy had surpassed him.

I really don't know. Andrew and Connor appear to have a buddy-buddy relationship going on where they feel comfortable confiding in each other but it just doesn't feel as deep as Connor's ties to Salome or Jamie, who have been betrayed by their lovers (or husband in Salome's case) and have strained relations with their fathers along with Connor.
As for Giles/Buffy, it was turbulent. Especially in seasons 6 and 7. But before that, and regardless of that, Buffy considers him to be a strong father figure who actually is accepting of the existence of the demonic world unlike her biological parents (who had her committed to a mental institution. The fact that she actually was at the mental institution in real life is inconsequential here). So I guess I'd say Buffy/Giles.
And Wesley...well, he's not that good of a Watcher when it came to Buffy or Faith. But he was a good guardian to Connor and his friends. If you were to add Wesley/ConnorandCo. from TNP to your list, Xandrew, that would get my vote.

Actually I was picking the worst watcher/slayer relationships from the shows, to see which one was the better of them.
hence why It's Andrew and Connor before Connor trusted Andrew
