--Takes place the summer between season one and season two of TNP.

We're in negotiations.
Or, I'm trying to figure out a good part for Gunn. He was severely underutilized on "Angel" and I'd rather not use him at all then give him a crappy part.
While Gunn's part in the movie is uncertain, I CAN confirm he will have featured role in an episode of The Nyazian Prophecies during S2.

Wolfram and Hart is making up the odds. You have no idea what their task it going to be exactly and what will come in handy. Illyria probably does have the best chance of survival, but as you see by the poster, she's not being rated for "survival", but rather it's though she'll turn. Angel and Spike have the sunlight issue. Connor was raised in a hell dimension and has lots of experiences we can't even imagine. Also, I'm writing it and Connor's my boy, so.... |

I am curious about something. I am going to read The Movie but if I wasn't would it be a plot story needed to be watched to understand season two or is it a stand-alone thing.

It's pretty much standaloney. There are a few things that are introduced in the movie that'll be in season two, but they are little things that will be re-introduced in S2. I'm trying to write the movie so that people who read TNP and not the movie aren't lost in S2 and so that people who haven't read TNP can still understand it ('cause I think there will be some people who will read the movie, but don't read the series).

Can you give us an idea of what the release date for your movie 'The Battle of Champions'? If not, could you at least give more clear summary for the plot-line for the movie?

I'm not sure exactly when it'll come out. I'm spending most of November working on my NaNoWriMo novel.
But here's a more clear synopsis:
In an effort to please its clients and thin down the heroic population of the world, Wolfram and Hart kidnaps the seven most powerful Champions-- Buffy, Angel, Connor, Spike, Faith, Illyria and Willow. The Champions are taken to a Wolfram and Hart holding dimension. There, they're confronted by the most unstoppable villains they've ever faced. It's a game, in which Wolfram and Hart clients have bet on. The only way to escape is for only one Champion to survive.
Back in the real world, those left reunite to help save their friends. But can they mount a rescue mission when their generals are missing?

It sounds like it'll be good and I hope it will be. Just as I hope it'll be out soon along with the second season.
Q: Is it easier or harder to write for a numerous amount of characters or easier or harder to write for just a few?

Both. We many characters, there's lots of things to do. But its also hard to get everyone in character and to balance it out so everyone has something to do.

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the trailer for your movie. I was especially impressed by the clips of Salome and the effects you used to alter AP's hair and skin tone. Amazing!  Also, I was wondering if you have an alternate version of the opening credits in either .mov or .wmv format. Unfortunately, I'm unable to view them as an .avi. |

Some more on the movie:
It's going very well at the moment. I've gotten a good chunk done. Here are a couple of random lines to get you interested:

"Do you stake every vampire you meet?" Xander asked.
"As a rule, yes," Salome replied. "Or I get hot when Connor does it." She felt all eyes on her. "Oh, don't judge me!"
~
"I'm singed, freaked and exhausted." Willow forced an awkward smile. "But alive... So yay."
~
Harmony smiled sweetly. "I"m not saying anything without my lawyer."
Gunn leaned in close. "Right now.... I AM your lawyer. Talk."
~
"Nothing'll brass off your old man like Uncle Spike rubbing off on you."
~
"I am not unpleased to see you alive." Illyria looked over the assembled warriors. She paused on Salome, icy eyes studying her. "Who is this one?"
"Holy shit," Salome gasped, falling to her knees. She bowed her head. "My God-King."
Illyria cocked her head as she looked down at the prostrate girl. "I like her."
